The Role of Coping Strategies in the Resilience and Well-Being of College Students during COVID-19 Pandemic

The study aimed to investigate the relationship between resilience and well-being of college students during Covid-19 pandemic determine moderating role coping strategies in this relationship. Resilience was defined based on concept Connor Davidson (2003), who it as an individual characteristic that allows thrive face adversity, were categorized into approach or avoidant measured by COPE Brief, conceptualized Warwick-Edinburgh's mental well-being. It included 243 enrolled one 12 online social science courses Metro Manila administered through platform Warwick-Edinburgh Mental Well-being Scale, Brief COPE, Connor-Davidson Scale (CD-RISC-10), Impacts COVID-19 Pandemic Life Higher Education Students Questionnaire. Results showed a significant Approach strategy also positive relationships with three criterion variables: academic, social, well-being, indicating more student employs strategy, better is his her On other hand, Avoidant negatively associated academic-related emotions, showing less use approach, are emotions felt classes. However, both failed moderate recommended schools implement programs services will train how cope pandemic.
